It's been a whirlwind weekend of events, and I took 2 days off from work to indulge in the festivities.
Pam our favourite KL girl, much to our delight, travelled down south and paid us a 4 day visit!
Edwin and Jen got married on Sunday, the 12th with a lovely simple church wedding at St. Francis of Assisi, and dinner at the Grand Hyatt after. The dinner was absolutely gorgeous! Trust Edwin to plan out a scrumptious spread with a beautiful 3 tier chocolate wedding cake covered in divine fluffy white cream for dessert (on top of the green tea pudding with blueberries, rasbeberries and strawberries we already had for sweets).
Happy Days!

A Rare Gem
Prior to the wedding on Sunday, us girls took a trip to Batam where we we spoilt silly with spa treatments. We started off at this Salon called Rudy's, where the hair stylists treated our locks with rich moisturizing avocado/aloe vera/ginseng paste and put it to steam whilst giving us a 45mins of head, neck, shoulder arm and hand massage. Pam had this body-builder-turned-woman-esque auntie tending to her, so needless to say, she felt "tenderized" after the session :) After an enormous lunch which we washed down with avocado shakes, we proceeded to the hotel to have a full body scrub and aromatherapy massage...and the best bit? we all spent just slightly under $100 each!
We spent much of sunday busy-ing ourselves with the wedding and were all quite knackered at the end of the night but we still found the energy to have drinks at Chijmes after.

I love Christmas.
The fact that my grandmother cooks her delicious oxtail stew and that we have 2 days of partying at home with the family is enough to make me smile. 2 years ago, my christmas was made even more special when I started dating baby. 2004 has been a very difficult year for us, wrecking all aspects of our lives. Perhaps its the year end melancholy or the lamb curry I just ate, I am, in a strange way, very grateful for everything that has happened to us. I am glad we both hung on and worked things though. We are still a work in progress, but I know that with a little magic and a WHOLE LOTA LURVIN', we may just work our way to the rest of our lives.
Who knows?
After all, it IS Christmas.
