Cleo was featured on the front page of the Straits Times today. Because she won the medal from the house of commons.
Yet another reason as to why Cleo is not my favorite person.

In other news...I SAW LEON DELI! LEON DELI the guy from chicken rice war OMG OMG OMG. He was at wheelock place with a friend. He is so fucking hot (Hot but gay, but who gives a fuck). I was like this crazed stalker walking behind him and his friend, just in awe to be in his presence. They knew that this girl walking behind them was a little strange as she walked quite closely, trying to breathe in the same air, or catch a waft of his cologne.
(And all this done in the presence of one, Mr. Mofo)
Am indeed a stalker.

Good friends make good food taste even better

Had to go to my father's golfing friend's house for dinner yesterday. It's this massive 4 story monstrosity, with a pool table in the basement and a lift servicing the 4 floors of the house. He has a mini cooper and a merc in the garage. Utterly disgusting. And the rich just keep getting richer! My dad brought me along so that I could 'network' with his daughter Cleo.
Cleo finished her A-levels in 1 YEAR.
Cleo goes to Oxford.
Cleo has a scholarship even tho her father is filthy rich.
Cleo is in her final PHD semester
Cleo won a medal from the house of commons for her PHD project
Cleo is Pretty
Cleo is articulate and funny
Cleo has a Golden retriever
Cleo is not my favorite person, for the above mentioned reasons.

So Dezzo drove halfway across the island from home to fetch me from east coast, then drove across the island to the west. We were invited to Shifaa's house. Her mom whipped up a feast! There was this yummy chilli chicken type dish, beef and liver creamy curryish dish, longtong and the yummiest ketupat rice cakes! Was so stuffed! Dezzo scoffed down a good 15 or more pieces of ketupat!
Ahh...a perfect respite from the shittiness that is the internship.
Oliver called and said that he has openings in his pharmecutical company and I could intern there anytime if I wanted. Hmm, counds interesting. Am meeting him sometime next week to discuss what the job entails.

Jen and Edwin, soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Tung

Hendri and Shifaa. My favorite special skool teacher!

Yeah baby Yeah!

The mad Dezzo whilst driving wound down his window and Bobbed his head furiously whilst Missy Elliot was blasting over the radio

It been a crazy 3 days.
I started the internship on monday, and am still adjusting to sleeping a mere 5-6hours a day. It has taken its toll, zits are blooming like a toadstool field and the eyebags of samsonite proportions are here to stay! Arrgghhh!

Am attached to this PHD student from China called He Fang. So in between trying to look like i understand her explanations in impeccable mandrin and nodding when she says "you should know this, this is a simple experiment you pea-brain", I sit quietly and read scientific journals. EEEPS!

Working hours are 9-7, and we have to work on Saturday too. Today I felt like going in with a blow torch and setting all them researcher arses on fire. But I know I am very fortunate to get such an opportunity, and hence will find a way to motivate myself to go to work every morning. Bloody 1.5hours each way! (ok, stop bitching already JO!)
Thanks to Edwin, who works round the corner from me at NUH, I was not by my oneself for the first 2 days during lunch hour. Thanks dude!

Anyways, it's going to be a great few days in any case. Shifaa's dinner party on Saturday, Dezzo's friend's party on Friday, and lazy lazy sunday. More public holidays. More More! Weekend come quick!
Merry Christmas my darlings!

Met up with Shifaa, Edwin, Laita and boyfriend and Dezzo last night. Went to Cha Cha Cha's for dinner, Haagen Daaz for dessert and Wala Wala for drinks and musik after.
Was lovely. Seeing them made me realise how much I miss the good 'ol uni days. Of course would have been complete if Pam was there, but nevermind. Pam please come visit soon!
Anways, Wala Wala was brilliant! There is this fantastic live band that plays there, and Dezzo's friend is the guitarist or something like that, and Dezzo was supposed to go up and sing, but I think because it was full house...IS IT HE GOT SCARED??? :) But there is always next weekend. Next friday I SAY! But do checkit people! Holland Village!

The Ipod acted up on me and hung. Damn thing! So brought it back to the shop at funan and they are getting the techy guys to fix it for me. Fingers crossed can't be fixed...then give me a new one!
Anyway, Stephanie, my only real friend from the Grad dip class, the one whom I had chocolate fondue with her and her friends wrote and sent me a pic we took on the last day of one of our classes.
The stumpy guy that looks like planet of the apes is our tutor. Real darling he is. Stephanie is on my left. What a sweetheart.

Went to this really nice cafe at Holland V yesterday.
It's one of those quieter, not so well-known, can sit out in open but still feel nice and cool (maybe because it had rained a few hours before..but oh well) kinda place. Had nice Balinese type furniture and they serve FRESHLY SQUEEZED ORANGE JUICE.
YUM
I am an OJ nazi!
Like come on...
You put OJ in the menu and customers think..."mmm I would really love a nice tall glass of cold fresh OJ", and they give you one of them reconstituted shit with loadsa sugar and charge you $4.00 a glass, I might as well have brought my own bottle of Tang orange drink powder and quietly suck on spoonfuls.

First up, those damn salsa lessons! yea! her friend just set up a dance studio of his own so we are going to checkit.
Having a Hen's night for our other friend Sharon as the lucky girl is getting married on the 21st! Oh! and it's going to be on a wednesday, so tis LADIES NIGHT! Means free drinks! Yippeee! Contemplating a stripper, tho' the lovely Desmond has pimped himself to me, to pole dance and sing in his g-string... I THINK NOT! All pole dancing shennanigans should be for me me me!

ok. It's friday my beautiful happy people.
ENJOY!

PS: Pam, I am so so sorry that the trip did'nt fall through. Tell me every detail of the show.

And they just keep on coming...

True to their observant eye and penchant for taking stabs at their fat niece, my uncles have taken turns in "fat insults russian roulette". Have become rather immune to their constant yabber over the years, so their nasty comments usually fails to aggrevate me.
Stupid Minions! Die all of you!
haha..anyway, I was reading the papers yesterday, and there was an article in the Home section where it said that journalists nowadays do not require a degree in journalism or mass communication to climb up the corporate ladder.
I was so elated when I read this.
It stated that there are people who hold degrees from various disciplines, such as Law, Business, Technology and they still qualify to work in the news room.
JOY JOY JOY!
Perhaps I could be a journalist for a little health science column, tucked away behind the comic section..hahah.
OH! Working in a newsroom! I WANT!
