Completely ignore my ramblings in previous post.
Anyway, a couple of days ago, Thursday night, the bosses of Two Oceans Films were feeling particularly generous and decided to give their staff and spouses a big treat at MORTONS OF CHICAGO.
MORTONS!
(The only other time I've ever been to the very ATAS place was with the folks where we ushered in 2003)
If any of your are steak purists...and have been spending the better part of your life searching for the perfect steak, well, I highly recommend you all take a (expensive) trip to Mortons at the Oriental hotel.
It was an interesting night, lots of fantastic food and odd conversations.
If anything, I think it offered some reprive from the unrelenting madness that had eveyone in a flurry for a good month and a half.
Dez, The director Warren and I had these massive Porterhouse steaks, which apparently is a combination of NY strip and T-Bone.
We all had smoked salmon, oysters, asparagus, scallops and oinion bread for starters.
The bosses ordered two lobsters of bovine proportions for everyone to share and we finished it off with....
CHEESECAKE FROM THE BRONX! (hahah..God knows it's probably made by these 2 elderly ladies in em mama papa type shops. Anyway, Warren said it was lovely) as well as lemon souffle, Godiva chocolate cake (Gives lana cakes a run for their money) and berries of every concievable type served with brandied whipped cream.
Dez being his mad self
Spazzing from the Godiva chocolate cake
Odd conversations all round
And! To top it all off, his female boss paid for our tickets to Linkin Park!
Yesterday was spent nursing baby.
Went down to SGH to have his hand set in a cast.
Curious Rabbit
Hurry up already!
The very kind and patient senior nurse Sozlan that had to put up with baby's bad jokes :)
Yay! All bandaged and ready to go!
Ardous fagging days ahead!
